amb Insurance Services acquire Mercer Jones & Company Limited

Newcastle-under-Lyme-based independent insurance brokerage, amb Insurance Services Limited, has acquired Mercer Jones & Company Limited.

amb Insurance Services Limited has grown from strength to strength since the pandemic began, growing their team from eight to seventeen members of staff. They will be taking on Mercer Jones & Company Limited’s existing clients.

Andrew BarrowAndrew Barrow, Managing Director of amb Insurance Services Limited said: “Mercer Jones & Company has been serving their local area for many years and their commitment to providing high quality advice in an approachable manner made them a perfect cultural fit for amb Insurance Services Limited. They are steeped in history and it will be a privilege to take that history forward into another generation.

“The acquisition of Mercer Jones & Company Limited will double our size in terms of income/turnover, allowing us to continue to grow our team and develop new, innovative ways to offer the highest standard of service and products to our customers. All Mercer Jones & Company staff will be moving to our offices, where we will support them through their examinations and desired career paths.”

It was important too that Andrew [Barrow] was keen to transfer our whole team to amb due to our strong client relationships and links to our local community. I’m confident that this move will open up new opportunities for a wider range of products and services for our existing clients. I’m delighted that our history will live on as part of amb Insurance Services.”
