Andy is the founder and director of amb, he has been working in insurance for over 25 years and was the director of two other brokerages prior to establishing amb in 2003. Within his role he handles new business enquiries, policy renewals and staff development while overseeing the day-to-day running of the business. At the age of 8 he swam a remarkable 2 miles but despite sharing impressive aquatic qualities with them…he hates fish!

Jen knows amb inside out and since joining in September 2005 she has become the go-to-woman. As office manager she is responsible for the running of the office; her tasks include managing the companies accounts, ensuring staff adhere to regulatory requirements, running monthly reports as well as helping everyone in the office with any issues they have. Jen only has a hot drink once in a blue moon, so isn’t expected to make rounds for us all, only a select few have ever experienced one of her brews. In her spare time you’ll find her under her duvet reading with her 2 dachshunds beside her.

Pete has over a decade of insurance under his belt and joined us in February 2012. Within his role as a Operations Director, he is expected to generate new business leads as well as manage the needs of his existing clients. He helps with development of staff through training of his own and arranging external training. Success on Football Manager games led Pete to dreaming of pursuing this career in reality; he still clings onto this ambition and you’ll often find him discussing tactics with Mark on his dinner hour. He is infamous for having some bizarre items delivered to the office; they include a letter box, a dummy pheasant and a rabbit skin.

Mark initially started working at Andrew’s previous brokerage in 2002; having left in 2005 he then re-joined as a commercial account executive in August 2013. His main responsibility now as Sales Directors is to expand our portfolio of clients. Mark’s dream of becoming a footballer, he says, is still alive and he often describes his many outstanding performance to us (unfortunately we have never heard an account from anyone else). He prides himself on making an exceptional cup of coffee; he isn’t the best in the business but he’s definitely in the top 1.

Jess joined amb as a commercial account handler in April 2013 after deciding not to pursue her dream of joining childhood heroes the spice girls. She deals with all aspects of insurance; managing the renewals and enquiries of her own clients as well as providing support to the all of the directors. When she’s not made to watch Peppa Pig by her son, she loves to go shopping and spend time with her family. Jess doesn’t like to miss a brew in the office and has been known to down full mugs in order to avoid doing so.

Gemma joined amb in November 2014; she loves to chat to people, which is very handy considering a major part of her job is to liaise with clients and insurers. She handles everything there is to do with your policy whether it’s a renewal, a claim, an adjustment or just a more general query. Gem grew up wanting to be an air hostess but instead chose the high-flying life of insurance. When she’s not able to sun bathe you’ll find her cleaning; fittingly her favourite quote is ‘BANG and the dirt is gone’.

Joining the team straight from school, Dan's customer service skills were honed in his part time job serving the Potteries' favourite dish, Oatcakes! He hopes to forge a career as successfully as the players at his favourite football team, Stoke City. When he's not studying towards his insurance exams he is touring the country to watch his favourite bands. Dan has a real passion for understanding our client's business and how an insurance policy protects this.

When Sally has a few moments to herself she enjoys reading, however this time is in short supply with a busy family life. Most of her time is spent entertaining her two children with day trips ranging from the seaside to farm life. She is a keen animal lover owning two cats and loves to spend her time with friends and family by going to local restaurants. Sally has a wealth of experience earned through working in various roles in the insurance profession, she's keen to add to this with her studies towards the Diploma in Insurance (DipCII). Sally is committed to her charity work which is part of her role as Charity Secretary on the committee for the local Stoke on Trent Insurance Institute.

Leah brings an academic side to the team, being the first person in her family to graduate and the sole graduate in the office. When she is not furthering her insurance studies she spends her weekends taking in architectural culture. She has a love of cooking and eating, in fact her biggest adrenaline rush is seeing her food arrive in a restaurant!! Leah has been raised around a musical household, given the opportunity to use a time machine she would revisit the 1980s to listen to her favourite music.
